Grant us, O God, in all our doubts and uncertainties, the grace to ask what you would us do, that the spirit of wisdom may save us from all false choices, and that in your light we may see light, and in your path may not stumble; through Christ our Lord. Amen.

William Reed Huntingdon (1838-1909)

Lord Jesus, your way
spreads like a labyrinth before my sight.
Today, your Spirit may lead me to the outer edge
where I shall feel far from your presence;
or I may be drawn towards the centre
where I shall sense you tantalisingly near.
Thank you that I am never led to a dead end.
Help me to trust that your path will unfailingly lead me home
where I shall find both my end and my beginning
in the Creator’s love. Amen.
