Let us fear you, O Lord, beyond whom there is none more holy; let us love you beyond whom there is none more gracious; and let us glorify you beyond whom there is none more worthy of praise; and grant that fearing, loving, and glorifying you we may see you, face to face; through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Desiderius Erasmus (1466-1536)

Holy and eternal God, in your only Son, Jesus Christ, you have fully revealed yourself to be the God whose grace, mercy and peace are the source and summit of all life. By the power of your Holy Spirit at work in us, turn our hearts to love and obedience of your perfect will for us and all creation.
Looking always to Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, may we rediscover each day our purpose to serve you as your people in the world. And, on the last day, bring us to the fullness of your eternal kingdom and the joy of the heavenly banquet. Amen.
